What a name! My parents must of thought I would be famous.The names come from; “William” from my Dad, “Neville” from my Uncle and “Kilbourn” from my Great Grandmother on my Mothers side.
 I was born on October 31st. 1933 (Halloween) in Montreal.

I had an uneventual youth growing up in Montreal and going through the Westmount school system starting at Roslyn School and ending up at Westount High School in 1952.

I then went to Mcgill University for 4 years in engineering. While there, I  joining the Phi Kappa Pi Fraternity and playing in the University marching band where we played at both the home and away football games. I played trumpet at the time and formed my own 6 piece dance band where for several years played at various parties and dances in and around Montreal. This picture was taken in about 1953 shortly after leaving high school.

I graduated from Sir George Williams University In Montreal in 1958 ( see photo) and shortly after married Sylvia Johnson. My first job was in the instrumentation department of Canadair Ltd. in Montreal (militarty aircraft) but soon moved to several other companies; each one in sales of electronic instruments  used by various research institutions.

In 1968, after the birth of three sons; Peter (1961) , Robert (1963) and David (1965) was transfered by the computer company, Control Data Corporation to their factory in Holland. In 1971 my big brake came with the joining of ITT in Brussels, Belgium as the Director of a small subsidiary making computer controlled telephone exchanges. After a several year posting in London, England returned to Brussels where I spent a number of years as Director of Marketing for their Public Switching Divison. This meant almost constant traveling to many countries of the world for over 10 years when the division was sold to Alcatel. I did not join Alcatel at first but spent a couple of years as Managing Director of Management Centre Euorpe in Brussels which was the European subsidiary of American Management Association, a major supplier of senior management training courses.

In 1982 I married to Lana Baek and we had a son William (1984)

In 1987 joined Alcatel in Paris as Vice Prsident Marketing of their Alcanet Division which provided private data networks to large industry which again had me traveling extensively to all parts of the world. I retired at the age of 66 in 1999 after working in Europe for 31 years. I am now retired and living in Vancouver, Canada.
